"Boy, howdy!" as my grandfather would say...

There they are in their golden glory: half done, the other half frying, and then blissfully ready to eat. The walk to the farmer's stand paid off. Fried green tomatoes. Haven't had them in years and now...stuffed full of 'em. Happy Sunday.

Mmm - I've never had them, but now I think I may have to. Any recipes to share, Ms. Sommer? :)

i just cut 'em and dip them in Gluten Free biscuit mix, fry in oil w/salt and pepper. I'm sure it would work with regular old biscuit mix. The tomatoes are wet enough to make the mix adhere. Pretty easy. And good.

i fry in canola, salt, pepper and dipped in gluten free Bob's Red Mill biscuit baking mix for the GF folks out there. Corn meal works, but I like that flour crust taste. Mmm...

Just tried my first about a month ago! Very tasty! :D

Hey, though! Enough with the food porn! I'm vegetarian, but I'm also a mammal, you know! Hahaha! ;O)
